Why Armada?

Over the years, the Armada teams have developed a strong reputation for sportsmanship, competitive play, and a family atmosphere. There were a few teams that were able to compete with the top teams at much larger clubs. So how do Armada teams progress so rapidly? How are they able to be competitive with much larger clubs? AFC’s motto says it all: “Fides Laborque” which means faith and hard work. Armada is a club that does things differently.

Armada tryouts are small group sessions of 15 or less to ensure ALL players get a thorough evaluation and proper team placement.
The Armada philosophy is that team continuity and chemistry are achieved through consistency in coaching and camaraderie with your teammates. Armada does not rotate coaches or players unless necessary for team and player development.
Armada has a written development program for every age group. Every coach is held accountable to ensure certain skills are mastered by their players during the course of the year.
Armada provides written evaluations of players during the year on all skill sets from technical to tactical and physical.
Armada teams put a heavy focus on healthy living and physical fitness. Through a stringent conditioning program built into each practice, along with off season camps, training, and clinics, our clubs teams gain an edge to progress quickly.
Armada allows for each team to pursue sponsorships that directly benefit their child’s team and the families. Most of our teams have enjoyed their entire uniform kit, backpacks, and warm ups for free.
Armada adopts an “if it’s not broken, don’t fix it” mentality. It is feasible to keep the same coach for as long as it’s a good fit. Consistency breeds continuity, which breeds chemistry — thus leading to success.
